EOI or an expression of interest is a method of application for displaying your interest before applying for a skilled visa for immigration. EOI is just an online application form which you need to fill via an Australian government website known as SkillSelect. You’d be required to select your visa type, followed by your education, family and employment details. You will receive an invitation to apply for the visa if selected.

Depending upon the Visa you are eligible to apply, you will need to provide information while submitting your Expression of Interest. It includes:

  • Your personal details and Information
  • Academic and Professional (Work Experience) Information
  • Information about English Language Ability
  • Positive Skill Assessment information in your nominated occupation
  • Only information is requited for submitting an Expression of Interest. No documents are needed to be submitted at this stage.

Following are the types of application lodged via Skill Select

  • Skilled Regional (Provisional) (Subclass 491) Visa
  • Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) Visa
  • Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) Visa
  • Business Talent (Subclass 132) Visa
  • Business Innovation & Investment (Subclass 188) Visa

After submission of an EOI, you can access it at any time and you are free to do any required modifications and update any information in case of any circumstantial changes. Additionally, you can suspend the EOI as well.
