In order to apply for a student visa to Australia, you must have applied to any of the Australian institutions. The process includes selecting the desired institution and course, sending application and receiving the offer letter from the institution and then getting the eCoE (Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment). Once this process is done you can apply for Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590) or Student Visa (Subclass 500)



Student Visa (Subclass 500)

Once you are granted with this visa, you can study full-time in the admitted institution and you can also bring eligible family members with you to stay in Australia. You can stay in Australia until you finish the course and work for a few hours.

What are the requirements of Student Visa?

  • Genuine intention to stay in Australia for study purpose
  • Enough funds to cover your daily expenses and course fee
  • Certificate of Enrolment must be provided at the time of applying for the visa
  • Fluent in English
  • Should meet health and character requirements

Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590)

If the holder of the Student Visa is below 18 years old, then the Australian government will allow a guardian to stay with that student under the Student Guardian Visa for the same duration granted for the student.

What are the requirements of Student Guardian Visa?

  • Must be a parent or relative of age over 21 years
  • Must be a genuine temporary entrant
  • Should have enough funds for the stay
  • Must submit proofs for having enough health insurance until you stay in Australia
  • Should submit relationship and personality documents.

Temporary Activity Visa

Temporary Activity Visa includes the following subclasses,

Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)

Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408) allows you to take up full-time domestic work, a job with the entertainment industry, Sports activity, religious work, training, academic research project, and other temporary activities. It comes under the following categories,

  • Stay in Australia for the time period approved in your Visa Grant.

  • Bring any of the eligible family members along with you

➢Training Visa (Subclass 407)

When you are willing to enhance your skills in a specific area to improve your career, you need to apply for Training Visa (Subclass 407). Under this Visa, you can visit Australia on a temporary basis and participate in any professional or occupational development programs.

What are the entitlements?

  • You can visit and leave any number of times until your visa expires
  • Can live in Australia for 2 years and finish the mentioned training
  • Offshore and Onshore Visa can be applied
  • Bring any of the eligible family members along with you

How do you know that you are eligible for Training Visa (Subclass 407)?

  • You should be 18 or more years of age
  • Should have a sponsor
  • Participate only in the occupational training
  • Fluent in functional English
